Keep a Yoga Journal

If you are thinking about joining aYoga group first find out about all the different types. You may decide to try a few different types of yoga, but for beginners start with the easiest first. Make sure you also keep a yoga journal or a spiritual diary. This will keep you in touch with your feelings.

I have always kept a journal. It helps to know how you felt when you started a project and the growth you have made from beginning to end. Keeping a yoga journal is great. You can keep track of the progress you are making and reread weekly from your journal how your thoughts and ideas will also keep changing the more you get in touch with yourself.

If you have never tried writing your thoughts down, I will tell you now it is great therapy. It is good to put your thoughts and ideas into a journal. If you are thinking about joining a yoga group, go now an purchase a journal .Write down all your thoughts, your physical conditions, your weight and anything else that comes to mind. Make sure you date it. Try to make a small entry in your yoga journal daily.

The more you practise yoga and get in touch with your mind, body and soul the more you will record in your journal. You will be amazed at the transformation you will see when you go back and read the entries.

I have journals from 20 years ago and it sometimes makes me laugh and sometimes makes me sad when I read those old journals and I think to myself if only I would have had the insight I have now.

For me that is the learning process of life, sometimes you have to fail in order to grow and learn. Yoga will help you become one with the inner you and it helps to record your thoughts and actions and your progress. So be sure and record everything in your yoga journal for future reference.
